Removal of Redundant Communications Tower.
Description
MAX removing an 18 meter high redundant communication tower in Port Augusta at the St John Ambulance Centre.
The tower was located next to live powerlines. A risk assessment was completed and a competent spotter was put in place to oversee the task.
There was limited access for an EWP so the tower was climbed by one of our experienced riggers who is trained for working at heights.
The tower was safely lifted out in one piece by our 130t crane at a radius of 35m and laid over on the ground for disassembly.
