MT 4400 Unit Assembly and Load Out, Whyalla

Cat Global engaged MAX to assemble and load out an MT 4400-unit rig at the CavPower Build Yard in Whyalla.

The machine was built over several days utilising our LTM 1250 with 60t of counterweight which was used to lift half the weight with an LTM 1130 and GMK 5100 to take the rest.

Once loaded, the truck was transported to the Leigh Creek coal mine where MAX Services were engaged to dual lift the 38t tray onto the truck.

The lift was completed incident free and a safety supervisor was on site at all times.
