Hornsdale Wind Farm, Stage 3 – Relocation of 105t Transformer

MAX were engaged to relocate a 105-tonne transformer from a storage bund into a newly constructed bund inside a switch yard. The transformer was loaded by our 500t crane onto our float. The 500t crane was relocated and utilised to unload the transformer into its final position.

The project also utilised our LTM 1130, Tidd PC 25, JLG knuckle boom, TRT 4×8 float and 2 x 8 dolly.

MAX provided a one-stop solution with detailed lift method statements and risk assessments completed in conjunction with the client’s team.
