Wind Turbine Rotor Replacement

The MAX Heavy Lift Team’s 500t Terex AC-500-2 mobile crane configured with sideways superlift and luffing jib (WIHISSL60°) was used to remove a 42t wind turbine rotor from a hub height of 80m to allow replacement of a wind turbine main bearing.

Our 200t Liebherr LTM1200-5.1 was used to assemble the 500t crane and assist with tailing the rotor. The photos show one of our Heavy Lift Team riggers installing the rotor lifting slings.
